What We Explore

During the RoundTable, our Advisors discussed:

Why Be on a Board and Why Now?

It’s important to consider the full impact and responsibility of being on a board. Our panelists share what drove their own decisions and why starting with intention changes everything about how you approach the path.

The Real Path to the Boardroom

Many female leaders already have the experience and qualifications needed to be a successful board member. Learn how to position your experience to appeal to a board, which types of boards to consider, and how to activate the relationships that will actually get you in the room.

What You Need to Know Before You Say Yes

Board service comes with real accountability… and the stakes have gone up. Having an understanding of the questions every candidate should ask before accepting a seat, from fiduciary responsibility and personal liability to board makeup and culture will help guide your decision.

A sample of the RoundTable recording.

Daina Middleton talks about what it really takes to join a board — and the answer might surprise you. In this clip, she breaks down why you don't need a special skill set to pursue a board seat, why financial literacy is the one foundation worth building, and how the real key is positioning yourself around the specific value you bring to a company.
